DRAFTKINGS NFL Showdown Captain Mode Thursday Night Football for week eight. Falcons versus Panthers, who do you have as your Captain?

It’s Thursday Night Football and we have a special contest for you on DRAFTKINGS. The NFL Showdown Captain Mode has the Atlanta Falcons visiting the Carolina Panthers. The spread has the home team Panthers giving 2.5 points with a total of 51. In this game on DRAFTKINGS, you draft six players with a salary of $50, 000. The main difference is you have a Captain! Their salary is 1.5X more than normal but gives you 1.5X more points. In conclusion, building a lineup in this format is tricky, so be careful on who you select as your Captain, as it may drain your salary cap quick! Here is a potential lineup I will be using this week:

Captain

D.J. Moore ($12,300) is my “QUARTERBACK” this week. With 20 targets over the last three weeks, including 13 receptions with three touchdowns, Moore will have plenty of opportunities against this Falcon defense. They have allowed opposing teams to throw 344 yards a game against them. The ironic thing about Moore is, over the last three weeks, he has 93 yards!

Flex

Robby Anderson ($9200) – Similarly I am doubling up on these Panther receivers. Why not? Like I said above, 344 passing yards a game. Let’s go! Last time Anderson faced them, he caught eight of 13 for 112 yards. Time to find the end zone this time around!

Flex

Calvin Ridley ($10,200) is a stud. For example, he leads the league with 20 red zone targets, has also produced six touchdowns on 13 receptions. Additionally, Ridley has 615 receiving yards, good enough for third through seven games. In week five, he grabbed eight of ten targets for 136 yards against this Panthers defense.

Flex

Todd Gurley ($8400) has to be in your lineups. The volume is just there week in and week out, no matter what the end results are. For instance, Todd has 122 carries, 2nd in the league and is averaging 3.98 yards per carry. Gurley is on the field for over 55% of the offensive snaps and the Panthers are allowing over 120 yards a game on the ground.

Flex

Curtis Samuel ($5400) is one of my cheap plays for the night. He has been used heavily in the offense over the last two weeks, including 11 receptions and five rushing attempts over the last two games.

Flex

Finally, Russell Gage ($4200) is my last play of the week. However, he is no slouch. With his cheap salary, he has a chance to hit value easily. Gage is tied for 18th in the league with 31 receptions through seven weeks. All three Falcon wide outs should have success in week eight.
