DraftKings lineup and positional value plays for the classic nine player roster build for Week 13. Which players do you like?

Here we are as we have Week 13 knocking at our door. It has been an interesting lead to the week with a Wednesday game between the Steelers and Ravens, which was actually Week 12. Then there was no game on Thursday! Stupid Covid!

Coming into Sunday we only have two teams on a bye, the last of those thank goodness. Carolina and Tampa are off, which removes some commonly used players for DFS purposes. We have three games predicted to break the 50 point barrier including the Browns and the Titans. The Chiefs and Broncos are on SNF, while Pittsburgh and Washington, and Buffalo and San Francisco have the doubleheader on MNF.

Oh, and the week is extended, with the Ravens and Cowboys on Tuesday Night Football…that’s new.

Week 13 also means the end of the regular season of Fantasy football for most folks, so it is a great time to try your luck on DraftKings!

Time to take a look at some positional and value plays for the Sunday Main Slate, classic nine-player lineup builds on DraftKings Week 13.

First up is Kirk Cousins ($6400) at home versus Jacksonville as the 10 point favorite. Cousins is tied for 7th in the league with 23 TDs including 11 over his past four matches. Additionally, he has thrown for 300 yards in the previous two games. The Jaguars are ranked 29th versus QBs!

Up second we have Taysom Hill ($6700), which still seems strange to say! Since taking over for Drew Brees, Hill has averaged over 20 ppg. Two weeks ago against this same Falcons D, Hill threw for 233 yards. His asset though is his legs. He has four rushing touchdowns in the last two matchups.

The last QB is Jared Goff ($5800) playing in Arizona. Goff has been up and down this year including last week’s match up putting up six points. However, being on the road seems to be a good thing for him. He has thrown for over 300 yards in four of his six matchups, including 11 touchdowns. The Cardinals rank 30th against opposing QBs.

Let’s make sure Nick Chubb ($7700) is in your lineup in Week 13. He has carried the load since coming off the IR. He has 58 rushing attempts for 388 and two scores. This game features two teams that will want to run it down each other’s throats. Kareem Hunt ($5400) is in play as well, especially with his salary and the Browns could find them selfs playing from behind.

Next is Chris Carson ($6300) at home against the Giants. Carson saw his first action since week seven when he left due to injury. The Seahawks limited his touches last week, carrying the rock eight times for 41 yards and a score. He had limited exposure to the passing game, catching two for 18. The touches should go up, especially if Hyde is OUT!

Jonathan Taylor ($5700) has an ideal matchup versus the 31st ranked defense of the Texans. Taylor is coming off the Covid-IR designation and missed last week’s game. Before that, he was finally used as the feature back and did not disappoint. With 22 carries for 90 yards and he caught all four of his targets for 24 yards. Time to find the end zone in Week 13!

Last-minute addition, with the news of Josh Jacobs out fire up Devontae Booker ($5500) playing the New York Jets. In games this year that Booker has rushed for six or more times, he has a 6.8 YPC.  He will have the opportunities against this defense who is allowing 111 yards per game on the ground.

Tyler Lockett ($7400) plays the Giants in Week 13. With Bradberry more than likely shadowing Metcalf all day, that leaves Lockett to be uncontested. Coming off a quiet week against the Eagles, look for Lockett to be heavily involved again and more than likely have double-digit looks from Russel Wilson. On a side note, D.K. Metcalf ($8200) is always in play even when being covered by a good defensive back.

The Minnesota Vikings duo of Adam Thielen ($7300) and Justin Jefferson ($6900) are both in play versus the Jaguars. Both are nice stack options with Cousins as he has been slinging the rock around efficiently (see above). Jacksonville ranks 26th against WRs.

Keeping the theme of stacking up, let’s talk about the Rams receivers in Cooper Kupp ($6100) and Robert Woods ($5900). For the same reasons as Goff, their visitor stats are fantastic. Kupp has double the amount of receptions while Woods has all five of his receiving touchdowns. The 25th ranked Cardinals will have a hard time stopping these two.

A couple of cheaper options I will be throwing in lineups are Jakeem Grant ($3500) and Darnell Mooney ($3400). Grant faces the 23rd ranked Bengals, and Devontae Parker will more than likely see a lot of William Jackson.  Grant has 12 catches in his previous four matches. While the Bears and company get the 27th ranked Lions at Soldier Field. Mooney has 28 targets in his last four games.  As long as he is healthy, the volume should be there.

Darren Waller ($6100) is second amongst TEs in both targets (86) and receptions (64). He leads the position in red zone targets with 24, scoring on five of them. The JETS rank 29th versus opposing TEs, and with no Jacobs on the trip, they may be forced to chuck it down filed more.

Up next is Mike Gesicki ($4200) going up against the last ranked Bengals. For the same reasons I am looking at Jakeem Grant, Gesicki may see an uptick in targets from the coverage Parker will receive. Last week, Evan Engram scored over 20 against the Bengals.

Finally, my cheap option for Week 13 is going to be Tennessee Titans TE Anthony Firkser ($2500). The salary is extremely cheap for a starting TE versus the Browns who are 30th versus TEs. With Jonnu Smith OUT, Firkser has a decent shot to find the end zone. The low salary allows you to spend up elsewhere!

The Miami Dolphins ($4400) will be heavily owned this week. The Bengals’ offense is not the same without Joe Burrow and will struggle to move the ball. Brandon Allen only completed 17 passes in the loss versus the Giants. He was sacked twice and threw one pick. The Dolphins D is in the top 10 for INTs, fumble recoveries, and TDs.

For a cheaper option, the Las Vegas Raiders ($3400) playing the Jets are definitely in play. Even though the Raiders Defense has not been efficient (2.8 FPPG), they will have a chance to make this Jets’ offense struggle and potentially cause a few turnovers. Good luck in DraftKings Week 13!
