Week five DRAFTKINGS roster builds and suggested players for each position required to build a nine player classic roster. Who do you have?

Well we are onto week five and that thing called “Covid” keeps threatening our football and DFS lineups. Games are being moved around, bye weeks are here, therefore you need to be checking your lineups. For me, its Thanksgiving up in Canada, so I decided to do our family dinner on Saturday to make sure I can watch my football! Coming into week five, we have some cheap options at QB this week as they draw some weak defenses. We also have five games predicted to go over 50 for the main slate on Sunday. Lets take a look at some players I will be building lineups around in the Classic nine player builds.

QUARTERBACKS

Week five is not the week to pay up for Quarterbacks. Joe Burrow ($6000), three straight games of 300 yards and the Baltimore Ravens are favorite by 13 points. The Cincinnati Bengals should be trailing and that should allow Burrow to put up some points. Teddy Bridgewater ($5900), draws the Atlanta Falcons, who have given up the second most points and passing yards. Daniel Jones ($5400), gets to play the Horrendous Cowboys defense. They have given up a whopping 36.5 points a game and over 170 yards on the ground. We only need about 20 points for him to pay off big time with his cheap salary.

RUNNING BACKS

Firstly, James Robinson ($6700) is my running back of the week. He draws the Houston Texans who have given up over 181 yards per game on the ground, where Robinson averages 4.8 yards a carry. After that, give him 20 carries and we have a massive week! Using Josh Jacobs ($6300), is a smart idea, as going against the Kansas City Chiefs has been a good thing for opposing runners. The Chiefs have allowed #1 RBs to rush for at least 77 yards a game in three of four match ups so far. In the fourth game, Lamar Jackson ran for 83 yards, so , yeah I guess that’s four straight games for the #1 RB! Chase Edmonds ($4800), against the New York Jets. The Jets are allowing 32.8 points and 129 rushing yards a game and with Kenyan Drake struggling, Edmonds may find his way on the field more.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Anyone else disappointed to find out the Bills and Titans were postponed to Tuesday? Stefon Diggs was my start of the week! D.J. Moore ($6000) and Robby Anderson ($5900) are both solid plays in week five. Pairing them up with Teddy Bridgewater, could have you a very nice stack for a reasonable price against this 31st rank D against the pass. Deebo Samuel ($5300), could be a sneaky play this week. For instance, he faces the Miami Dolphins, who are giving up 300 passing yards a game and Jimmy Garoppolo is expected back at the Helm for the 49ers. Finally my value player of the week is Darius Slayton ($4800). Similarly as Daniel Jones, he plays the Cowboys. Enough said.

TIGHT ENDS

Oh the wonderful position of Tight end. Heavily in the two match up last year, Darren Waller ($5900) hauled in 15 catches for 163 yards and with the Chiefs being the favorite by 12.5, Waller could be heading towards some garbage time points! Why not take a peak at Evan Engram ($4600)? Lining up on the opposite side of the Cowboys D is always a good thing right? Similarly, Eric Ebron ($4000) has a shot of solid production against the Philadelphia Eagles secondary. For instance, George Kittle caught 15 targets for 183 yards and a touchdown in week four against Philly.

DST

Unfortunately you have to pay up this week for a DST. Arizona Cardinals ($4100) and LA Rams ($4000) both get the opportunity of playing back up QBs on Sunday. Meanwhile, when you have a chance to play against a back up, DSTs become almost a must play as normally there are several turnovers and poor decisions made by the QB. Good luck and enjoy week five!
