Rashaan Evans is hungry for more going into Year 3
Rashaan Evans during his video conference call Wednesday said that he’s all about the team going into this season. “Hopefully they want me on offense, I’ll do that too”, Evans jokingly said. Evans lead the team with 139 tackles last year so the Titans will be looking to have him lead in 2020.

Rashaan Taking The Next Step
Rashaan, who was Tennessee’s first round pick in 2018 has seen increased productivity and is getting high praise from his teammates. Recipient of one of the Titans off season awards, Mike Vrabel said during his conference that he’s developing very well. Playing next to Jayon Brown, Evans is looking to take that next step in 2020.
Evans had his goal line stand against the New England Patriots in the Wild Card game that changed all momentum. The young Titans defense comes into 2020 without veterans, Jurrell Casey and Logan Ryan. The question has been will they be able to break into the top 10 in the rankings? Jeffery Simmons is looking to play his first full healthy season with the team as well, which helps Evans as he draws double teams.
Household Name
Every team wants to have a linebacker that is a career guy that they can say is the quarterback of the defense. Evans coming from a Nick Saban Alabama background looks to have the skillset to be that for this squad. Flies to the ball, fills the gap, and seems to be in on every big defensive play for the Titans. There are no household names on the defense, but this defense has the potential to change that soon.
Look to see Rashaan on plenty of defensive highlight reels this year. When you look at this roster Evans sticks out as one of the “breakout” stars on a young team. Vrabel’s experience as a linebacker will be something that can elevate his game as he turns the corner in his career. From the tape we have on Evans and the way Vrabel talked about his game it’s fair to say the Titans have their guy at linebacker.
