Week 2: Lions vs. Packers injury report. Packers lose Kenny Clark and Lions lose Kenny Golladay for Sunday’s pivotal NFC North matchup.

Green Bay Packers

A huge loss for the Green Bay Packers as they lose Right Guard Lane Taylor for the rest of the season with a knee injury that will require season-ending surgery. For the second consecutive season, the Packers will be without Taylor.

Pro Bowl Defensive Tackle Kenny Clark is ruled out for the Packers matchup against the Lions with a groin injury he suffered in the first half last Sunday. Clark missed three different practices during this week and will be unable to play. It will be interesting to see if defensive tackle Montravius Adams will be ready to go on Sunday as he missed last week’s match against the Vikings.

Offensive lineman Billy Turner (Knee) and Lucas Patrick (Shoulder) both practiced on Thursday and Friday making them questionable for Week two. Rookie tight end Josiah Deguara has also been listed as questionable with a Shin/Ankle injury. The Packers will also be without Equanimeous Brown. Linebacker Randy Ramsey will also be out with a groin injury.

Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have now listed four of their players out for Sunday’s game against the Packers. For the Lions offense, they will be without star wide receiver Kenny Golladay as he is still nursing a hamstring injury. Golladay played all 16 games for the Lions in 2019 with 1,190 yards and 11 receiving touchdowns. He led the Lions in receiving in both matchups against the Packers in 2019.

Offensive guard Joe Dahl (groin), tight end Hunter Bryant(hamstring), and cornerback Desmond Trufant (hamstring) are all ruled out for the Lions. The lions also have four other players as listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup.

Detroit’s highly touted Jeff Okudah was also on the injury report but does not have status as of Friday. He has practiced fully since Wednesday with a hamstring injury.

With Aaron Rodgers lighting up the show against the young Vikings secondary this past Sunday, it will be intriguing to see what the Packers quarterback can do with attacking the banged-up Lions defense in the passing game.
