DRAFTKINGS lineup and positional value plays for the classic nine player roster build for Week 9. Which players do you like?

DRAFTKINGS week nine is here and we again only have five games predicted to break the 50 point barrier. We unfortunately lost The Green Bay Packers trio of Rodgers, Adams and Jones on TNF, who again did not disappoint. Playing the Sunday slate we also lose New Orleans and Tampa on SNF and New England and NY Jets on MNF. Similarly we lose four teams on bye, including the Bengals, Browns, Rams and Eagles. Time to take a look at some positional and value plays for the classic nine player lineup build on DRAFTKINGS.

QUARTERBACKS

First lets start off with the MVP front runner Russell Wilson ($7600), playing against the Buffalo Bills, who rank 29th against opposing QBs. Wilson leads the league with 26 touchdowns and with the highest scoring predicted game of the slate, he should be able to add to this total.

Next up, Justin Herbert ($6800) plays the Raiders. Herbert is averaging 27 FPPG, while the Raiders are allowing 29 PPG. Herbert has thrown multiple touchdowns in four straight games and has thrown four TDs over 50+ yards which is good for first in the league.

Last, we have Drew Lock ($5200), who has a match up against the Falcons. Yes, Lock has not had the best campaign, but he is coming off a nice game in week eight. He passed for three TDs and just under 250 yards. Atlanta has allowed the second most passing yards per game at 323 per game.

RUNNING BACKS

Dalvin Cook ($8200) is coming off a massive game, producing over 50 points in week eight. The Lions come to town in week nine, who rank 23rd in rushing yards against. According to DRAFTKINGS, they rank dead last against opposing RBs. With question marks all over the Lions Offense, Cook and company should have plenty of opportunities to find the end zone.

Secondly, we have James Conner ($6900). Similar to Cook’s match up, the Cowboys offense is a hot mess right now as well. Injuries and back ups not performing, Conner should also see plenty of touches in a potentially one sided game. He has scored 17 PPG, and the Cowboys have allowed opposing runners to score four times over the last three matches, including averaging of over 150 yards.

Finally, Justin Jackson ($4900) is a nice stack play with Herbert. The Chargers may score four plus TDs and I want a part of all of them. Jackson had 20 touches in week eight, and I do not see anything changing this week against the Raiders.

WIDE RECEIVERS

DeAndre Hopkins ($8200) is my #1 WR on the slate. However, he does come at an expense with that very high salary. Hopkins is the #4 scoring receiver on the year and should be showing off his talents this week against the Dolphins. Through seven games, Hopkins has caught 57 of 70 targets for 704 yards.

Next is Allen Robinson ($6800), playing the Titans. Tennessee has given up over 277 passing yards to go with 26.3 points against. Even with shady QB play, ARob gets it done. He is the #9 scoring WR on the year, with 131 points through eight games.

Lastly, I like Jerry Jeudy ($4700) as a nice stack play with Lock. Jeudy was targeted ten times last week, and if he continues to see similar volume, he will be very serviceable in DFS. For the same reasons as Lock, week nine should be a successful one for Jeudy.

TIGHT ENDS

If you don’t like the Jeudy stack, then why not try the Noah Fant ($4600) one. He is scoring 12.2 PPG and gets to face the 26th ranked defense against TEs according to DRAFTKINGS. As long as Lock can get the ball out on time, Fants should be able to have a solid day.

Evan Engram ($4300), has a cheap salary facing the Washington Football Team who has allowed 17 receptions over the past four matches to opposing TEs. Engram is a major part of the Giant offense, as Jones is targeting him about six times a game. A big game is coming with those numbers; hopefully its this week.

DST

Up first, the Pittsburgh Steelers ($4900) against the Cowboys. If you can fit them in your lineups, then it is a must. I find it difficult with the high salary. Pittsburgh is in the top three for sacks, INTs and defensive TDs. Like I said above, the Cowboys offense will be interesting with a 4th string QB at the helm.

Finally for a cheaper option, the Arizona Cardinals ($2900) are in play versus Tua and the Dolphins. Tua was not efficient in first game as a starter, but he better be here or the Cardinals offense will run them out of town quickly. Good luck in DRAFTKINGS week nine!
