After coming up short of all expectations in 2019, the Cleveland Browns will look to build in free agency to turn things around in 2020.

The Cleveland Browns who were heading into last season with Super Bowl hopes, but those plans didn’t work as expected. Second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield took a step backward from his late 2018 season performances throwing 21 interceptions. Cleveland had problems with the first-year head coach Freddie Kitchens who they eventually fired. Cleveland finished 6-10, Browns fans were very disappointed in how the team played this year, but what Cleveland fans need to realize you can’t just go from playoff drought to Super Bowl in one year it takes a lot more than that. The Browns have roughly $60 million in cap space, so they got some money to spend to improve their team and make a playoff run. Here are some free agents that can help Cleveland do just that.

Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Jack Conklin

One of the positional needs for the Browns is the offensive line. Jack Conklin is a 25-year-old free agent who has spent his first four seasons as a Tennessee Titans. Conklin played 16 games last year and his coming off a solid year too, allowing four sacks and having seven penalties against him. Baker Mayfield was sacked 40 times last season, so the Browns will need to address the offensive line, and Conklin is an excellent way to go.

Los Angeles Rams linebacker Cory Littleton

Littleton is a young stud linebacker who will be hitting free agency. He finished with 134 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions. However, Littleton will be a bit pricey though, but if the Browns wanna make the Linebacker position a top priority this is one way to go. Cleveland just released Christian Kirksey and seems like Joe Schobert will take his talents elsewhere. Littleton will definitely help fill the Line-backer void and help toughen up the Cleveland defense.

Chicago Bears safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

The Browns need a safety to tighten up their secondary. Clinton-Dix is 27 and a reliable safety who could be affordable for the Browns. Clinton-Dix finished last year with 78 tackles and two interceptions. Cleveland doesn’t have an answer at safety on their roster right now. Damarious Randall is hitting free agency, and Morgan Burnett, 31, only played eight games last year due to injury. Cleveland will need to get a stronger secondary if they want to start winning and make a deep playoff run.

I like all 3 of them but basically they are replacing the players in the ODB trade. They need to protect Baker Mayfield and he could of went thru the sophomore slump.
