32. New York Jets (Last week: 32)

How heartbreaking it must be to be a Jets fan.

31. Dallas Cowboys (Last week: 30)

The Cowboys, for as massive as their payroll is, have been decimated by injuries and poor coaching moves. They will get a high draft pick and build for 2021.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (Last week: 29)

I take pride in knowing all the players in the NFL. The Jags trotted out a QB last week I had never heard of. That’s why the front office will be rebuilt this offseason.

29. Houston Texans (Last week: 31)

The Texans play hard under interim head coach Romeo Crennell. That’s about the only positive I have.

28. Washington Football Team (Last week: 28)

I love QB Alex Smith and he deserves better.

27. New York Giants (Last week: 27)

It is hard to come up with one-liners for bad teams each week. The Giants got a win is all I have.

26. New England Patriots (Last week: 26)

The Patriots barely beat the Jets. This had to make Bill Belichick roll over in his grave. Even with the win, I stand by my prediction that the Patriots would not make the playoffs.

25. Detroit Lions (Last week: 25)

I know the Lions lost but I still feel as though they would beat every team below them in these rankings so I am keeping them at 25.

24. Philadelphia Eagles (Last week: 22)

I don’t like moving teams on a bye week, but I do not think right now at this point in the season that the Eagles could beat the Vikings or Falcons.

23. Atlanta Falcons (Last week: 23)

Players calling out management. Coaches in-fighting. And yet the team still got a ‘W’. This is a good audition for Raheem Morris.

22. Minnesota Vikings (Last week: 24)

I think the Vikings need to ride RB Dalvin Cook all the way to the wildcard. Yep, I said it.

21. Cincinnati Bengals (Last week: 21)

I think the Bengals will be on the positive side of the win column the second half of the season as they gear up for 2021.

20. Carolina Panthers (Last week: 20)

The Panthers schedule is holding them back but head coach Matt Rhule has his team believing in themselves.

19. Chicago Bears (Last week: 19)

The Bears are an average team that will not and can not consistently beat the good NFL teams.

18. Los Angeles Chargers (Last week: 18)

The Chargers would have a better record if they had a better head coach in terms of game management.

17. Denver Broncos (Last week: 16)

Every time I want to get fired up about the Broncos, they lay an egg. They are falling back into the pack of below-average teams.

16. Cleveland Browns (Last week: 17)

On a bye week, the Browns win.

15. Los Angeles Rams (Last week: 15)

I do not see the second half of the season being for the Rams. This team isn’t built for November and December.

14. Indianapolis Colts (Last week: 13)

QB Philip Rivers is too up and down for my liking and with no steady rushing attack, the Colts are bound for mediocracy.

13. San Francisco 49ers (Last week: 12)

Maybe, just maybe Jimmy G is better than we all thought or at least more important to this squad.

12. Las Vegas Raiders (Last week: 14)

The Raiders are beating the teams they are supposed to and playing good sound football.

11. Arizona Cardinals (Last week: 9)

A lot of pundits and gamblers saw the Cardinals loss to the Dolphins as an upset. Not me. The Dolphins are a good team and so is Arizona.

10. Tennessee Titans (Last week: 10)

The Titans are a solid, well-coached team that will be tough to beat moving forward.

9. Green Bay Packers (Last week: 11)

QB Aaron Rodgers is so smooth. Bounce back game in a big way.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Last week: 3)

Tough loss to an NFC South rival. Now just fighting for a wild card.

7. New Orleans Saints (Last week: 8)

As the weapons get healthy, the Saints get stealthy.

6. Seattle Seahawks (Last week: 4)

The Bills are simply a better team and that showed on Sunday. The Bills will use this as a measuring stick for the rest of the season.

5. Miami Dolphins (Last week: 7)

I know the Dolphins are 5-3 so how can they be the 5th best team? Because this is my power rankings and the veterans signed this offseason are about to show up in a gigantic way.

4. Buffalo Bills (Last week: 6)

Sean McDermott is one heck of a football coach and his in-game adjustments are fire.

3. Baltimore Ravens (Last week: 5)

This team goes as far as QB Lamar Jackson takes them. When he is on, this team can beat anyone. If not, the Ravens lose.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (Last week: 2)

So many weapons RB Le’Veon Bell isn’t getting any run.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers (Last week: 1)

The Steelers win in so many different ways. Not only are they undefeated, but they are tough and resilient, like their head coach Mike Tomlin.
